Biography

Professional Experience
Cath is a Regional Team Leader and Literacy facilitator in the Central South region. She began facilitating in 2006 and has been involved in a range of professional learning projects. These include the Literacy professional development project (LPDP), Learning and change networks, Implementation of the national standards, Literacy and English language learners’ in-depth professional learning, and Accelerating learning in literacy (ALL). Cath has worked as a private consultant providing tailored facilitation, leadership appraisals, and the presentation of literacy and leadership workshops. She has experience as a writer for the Writing standards illustrations, School journal teacher support materials, and is co-author of a resource for facilitators.

In her current role she works alongside facilitators, leaders and teachers to build capability in literacy leadership, teaching and learning. She has a particular interest in the development of coherent processes in schools, and the active involvement of learners in their learning.
