Biography

Dahlia Han was the Subject Librarian for Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Auckland Bioengineering Institute from December 2013 to October 2018. She was the PBRF specialist Subject Librarian from October 2016 to July 2018 to provide expertise research support services to the Faculty of Engineering and Auckland Bioengineering Institute for PBRF 2018.  She was also the Subject Librarian for Chemical and Materials Engineering, Engineering Science, and Auckland Bioengineering Institute from August 2000 to December 2013. Prior to this she was the Information Services Librarian in South Waikato District Libraries. Before she moved to New Zealand, she was employed for many years in a variety of positions in South China University of Tropical Agriculture, now Hainan University. She is a registered professional member of the New Zealand Library and Information Association, LIANZA and has a MSc degree in Information Studies from the University of Sheffield in the UK and a BSc degree in China.

Responsibilities

Dahlia Han provides services to support and enhance the research activities of postgraduates and staff within the Faculty of Engineering.

  • Offers consultations on information resources, researcher profiles and identifiers, impact and metrics, research data management, open access and scholarly publishing.
  • Supports the use of Research Outputs and repositories.
  • Collaborates to develop, support and deliver researcher skills development.
  • Partners with research stakeholders to support University research reporting and benchmarking.
