Doctoral Candidate - Doctor of Philosophy


I completed my BTech (Honours) majoring in Medical Physics and Imaging Technology in 2015. I won a Senior Scholar Award from the University of Auckland for achieving the highest overall grade in this degree. Through my undergraduate studies, I developed an interest in biomedical sensing and imaging. 

I have since begun my PhD studies in the Department of Physics and have received a University of Auckland Doctoral Scholarship. My project involves the detection of live and dead bacteria using fibre optic fluorescence spectroscopy and its application in monitoring the efficacy of bactericidal methods.

Research | Current

I am interested in the development of optical techniques for sensing and monitoring of cells and tissues. Currently, I am exploring fluorescence spectroscopy, supervised machine learning, flow cytometry and the application of these methods in microbiology.
