Biography

Karen works as a facilitator in the Leadership and Assessment Team for Team Solutions in the Faculty of Education and Social Work for Auckland University . Karen is based in the Manawatu /Whanganui area for the Central South Region. She  has had varying leadership roles in her career and taught across all levels in her role as a primary trained teacher, before facilitating in professional learning and development in schools.

She  works in depth in schools with teachers and leaders to develop practices that encourage student self-regulation, and strengthen teaching and learning that is culturally  responsive and inclusive .

Karen has experience working with clusters of schools to meet identified needs . She  believes working collaboratively with others provides opportunities to empower leaders, teachers and students learning , and build sustainable school practices.
