Research | Current

My research group is focusing on Food Process Innovation and Advanced Materials to improve the safety, quality and sustainability of food and agricultural systems. Research topics include but not limited to:

  • Design bio-based antimicrobial delivery system for improving the safety and quality of raw or minimally processed food products 
  • Develop antifouling and antimicrobial food-contact materials to eliminate the risk of microbial contamination
  • Discover nature inspired compositions for improving stability of biological control agents for agricultural and aquaculture applications 
  • Develop nonthermal food processing technologies for improving the safety and quality of food products
