My current research involves the use of synchrotron X-ray radiation to study the fundamental electronic band structure of materials for renewable energy production and for potential use in the electronic industry. I primarily apply X-ray Absorption (XAS) and Emission (XES), Resonant Inelastic X-ray Scattering (RIXS), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Photoemission Electron Microscopy (PEEM), along with Angle Resolved XPS and Ambient Pressure XPS. These state-of-the-art techniques provide insight into a materials physico-chemical properties which may be manipulated to optimize performance.
