My current research interests focus on solid-state NMR spectroscopy which is a powerful and versatile non-destructive technique for the elucidation of molecular and supramolecular structures, packing arrangements, and molecular dynamics. My research is interdisciplinary, and it is directed at studying structure and dynamics of a wide range of solid materials and correlation of solid-state NMR data to results obtained by other techniques. For noncrystalline and insoluble solids solid-state NMR may be the only method providing structural information at the atomic-level detail.
I have been engaged in the structural investigations of inorganic and organic solid systems such as polymers, nanomaterials, polymer blends, conducting polymers, minerals, hybrid polymers, pharmaceuticals, plant cell walls, zeolites, geopolymers, glasses etc. Also, I am interested in the self-assembly and the formation mechanisms of nanostructured materials.
