My career which started in the property industry where I worked for Standard Life Assurance Company in Edinburgh,Scotland. Since that time I have worked at the University of Auckland, my experience working in the industry has ensured a focuson developing productive external relationships . I have held key leadership roles in the Department of Property over the past 15 years and since 2008 I have been Head of the Department and in this role I have successfully continued to raise the excellence in research and to strengthen innovative and effective teaching to a level commended regularly by international reviewers.

I am internationally recognised for my research in behavioural studies relating to property market behaviour which has been informed by previous work experience as a property professional and by my continued close association with the property industry.
