Mr David Jason Kelley
I am a PhD candidate in Philosophy working under the supervision of Tim Mulgan and Emily Parke. My current research focuses on Collective Agency. I am also interested in Philosophy of Biology, Human Enhancement, Consciousness, Intergenerational Ethics, and Existential Risk, various aspects of which featured in my M.A. thesis titled, “The Project of Humanity.” I am a new member of Te Pūnaha Matatini (Whānau), with a particular interest in exploring cases in which the data of individuals is aggregated and subsequently presented as a group property. In addition to my philosophical pursuits, I'm currently working on launching an interdisciplinary research project involving useful technologies for the disabled. When time allows, I write, record and perform music under the project name, 2 a.m. Orchestra.
