Dr Joanne Davidson

Biography

Dr Joanne Davidson is a Sir Charles Hercus Senior Research fellow in the Department of Physiology. Her research interests include understanding how brain damage occurs before and around the time of birth, with a view to developing neuroprotective treatments. Her research includes ways to optimize therapeutic hypothermia and the role of gap junctions and connexin hemichannels in the spread of perinatal brain injury.
