Biography

I am a PhD student in the School of Psychology and the Centre for Brain Research under the supervision of Reece Roberts, Donna Rose Addis, and Lynette Tippett. I completed my undergraduate studies in Cognitive Science at the University of Osnabrueck in Germany and then moved to New Zealand, where I completed my Honours and Masters degrees, before starting my doctoral studies.

Research | Current

I am generally interested in how the brain as a complex dynamical system works. My current research focuses on how the brain uses information from episodic memory to generate complex simulations of the future. I am investigating how different types of episodic information contribute to the construction of future simulations, and how exactly the hippocampus is involved in this. I also have a strong methodological interest, including decoding methods for neuroimaging and Bayesian statistics.
