Marie worked as a Speech-language therapist in the hospital (acute and rehabilitation) setting in New Zealand prior to embarking on doctoral study.  She is in her third year of her PhD, which is investigating changes in swallowing physiology in advanced age using videofluoroscopy and high-resolution manometry.  Marie is passionate about supporting the health and wellbeing of older adults.
