Mr Mykola Zlygostiev
Mykola obtained Master’s degree in Medical Physics with honours at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (Ukraine) in the Department of Physics and Technology. Also, He completed a pre-doctoral program PSL-ITI at l'Université de recherche Paris Sciences et Lettres and M2 program at l'Université Paris-Sud (France). Moreover, during the studies he actively participated in the conferences, scientific visits and internships in the leading institutions, such as Institut Langevin, Linear Accelerator Laboratory (LAL), Irradiated Solids Laboratory (LSI) - École Polytechnique, École Normale Supérieure, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, University of Jyväskylä and others.
In 2018 Mykola joined the biophotonics research group at the University of Auckland to study characterization of ocular media by its Group Velocity Dispersion (GVD) value using Fourrier Domain Optical Coherence Tomography (FD-OCT) . The research aims to detect early signs of chronic diseases, such as Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD).
Mykola enjoys traveling and discovering new cultures. Also, He is a long distance runner, interested in chess, futsal and tennis.
