Areas of expertise

My research interests are rooted in social psychology and culture as well as social justice issues in health research, looking particularly at disadvantaged groups including the elderly, self-concept, self-esteem, and gender.  My research also examines the relationship between sexual attitudes and behaviours, particularly with reference to tourists and those involved in serving them in "socially condoned marginal" activities.
