Dr Raamy Majeed

Biography

I moved to Auckland after a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Cambridge. Prior to that I lectured at Lehigh Universty, and then before that at the University of Otago. I did my PhD at the University of Sydney, where I wrote a dissertation on the 'hard' problem of consciousness: the problem of explaining how and why physical processing gives rise to experiences with a phenomenal character. These days, I work on topics at the intersection of philosophy of mind and cognitive science; I am especially interested in emotions.
