Research Fellow

I completed my Master of Science studies at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland, in 2011. During the last two years of these studies I became a member of Optical Biomedical Imaging Group, where I started my MSc project on creating and using broadband blue light in Optical Coherence Tomography/Microscopy.

I continued my reasearch on PhD studies, which were entirely funded by the European Union's Human Capitale Programme. During that time, I had an opportunity to do a six-month long internship at Institute Langevin and Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris, France, where I worked on a scanner-free and bend-insensitive method for endoscopic imaging. I was awarded my PhD in 2015.

In 2016, I became a Research Fellow at the University of Auckland.

Research | Current

My area of research is Optical Coherence Tomography, which is a non-contact and noninvasive method for volumetric imaging of objects that are semitransparent to light.

Postgraduate supervision

Since March 2017  Magdalena Urbańska, a PhD student working on Optical Coherence Elastography.

Since April 2018  Mykola Zlygostiev, a PhD student working on characterizing objects by their dispersion with Specral Optical Coherence Tomography
