Biography

Shandong Mou is a Ph.D. candidate for Operations/Supply Chain Management at the University of Auckland Business School since September, 2014. His research focuses on improving operation efficiency in retailing by data analysis and mathematical modelling. Prior to commencing doctoral research, he received M.Eng and B. Eng from Shandong University in China. During the three-year postgraduate studies, he had involved in multiple projects associated with automated warehousing and order picking systems, e.g., acting as a project assistant and software developer in Sichuan Electric Power Corporation Regional Warehouse Construction Project in January-August, 2013, and as a software developer in Jiaozuo City Cigarette Distribution Center Construction Project in January-July, 2011. Inspired by practical problems, several research papers have been published in SCI/EI journals. One part of his master thesis has been published in International Journal of Production Research (SCI, and A level in ABDC) in 2015.

My doctoral research focuses on improving operation efficiency in retailing by applying analytical modelling in practice, supervised by Professor David Robb and Dr Valery Pavlov.
