Doctoral Candidate - Doctor of Philosophy


Sivendra is a trained economist by profession with a background in Applied Econometrics. He has obtained a Masters degree from the University of Auckland, where his research focused on the nexus of labour and housing market in New Zealand. 

Prior to pursuing his PhD, Sivendra worked in various roles for the United Nations International Labor Organisation and the Pacific's preimer development institute - the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat. 

In 2015, he received New Zealand Pacific Scholarship to pursue his Masters and in May 2017 was awarded the Young Global Changer Fellowship for the G20 Summit. He recently was recognised as the Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society.
