Dr Tom Wong


Dr Wang has more than 20 years of experience in basic and clinical orthopaedic research. He acquired his PhD in Orthopaedics at the Peking University and then worked as an orthopaedic surgeon. He established his research expertise in the field of bone biology and regenerative medicine in university research centres, including the University of California, San Francisco and the University of Rochester. He identified several cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying osteoporosis, fracture healing and intervertebral disc diseases. He is currently focusing on polymer-based nanobiomaterials for tissue regeneration, reconstruction and controlled delivery of drugs/biomolecules.
